Digital Archives Applications and Promotions Request-for-Proposals Project

Main goals
By way of request for proposals, this sub-project tries to help Project Four to :
 

  • Call for more participators and their contributions
  • Integrate various resources for digital archives promotions and applications with perspectives of diversity.
  • Interact with the other four sub-projects of Project Four so that the digital archives contents and technologies can be integrated into the areas of cultural, academic, socio-economic, and educational developments.

 

Main Tasks – calling for proposal

  • Draft and finalize the requirements for request-for-proposals (RFPs).
  • Draw up and finalize the budget for this project.
  • Hold pre-seminars to explain the RFPs.
  • Assist the National Science Council to launch the process and to review the submitted proposals.

  • Promotions of SC and CC licensing
  • Cross-platform broadcasting techniques
  • Collections of contemporary life history
  • Digital art festivals

 

Themes of RFPs (II)

  • Developments of teaching materials and manuals of GIS digital archives
  • Collections of activist records
  • Community and public participation
  • Information ethics and digital right
  • Creative Applications of Digital Archives Initiative

 

Main Tasks - Evaluation

  • Hold Q&A oriented seminars for the funded projects in the beginning phase of their implementations.
  • Provide the funded projects with necessary resources in their implementations and evaluate their work results.
  • Gather and compile monthly progress reports and quarterly reports from funded projects.
  • Hold discussion meetings quarterly to exchange experiences in the implementations of the funded projects.
  • Hold mid-term reviews over the funded projects.
  • Visit and audit the funded projects, as well as hold and participate digital archives related conferences and seminars.

 

Main Tasks – final presentation

  • Hold yearly exhibitions for the funded projects.
  • Hold final reviews over the funded projects.
  • Other work items related to this sub-project.
